This one-of-a-kind bowl began with a piece of dogwood that caught my eye because of its natural grain, cracks, and character. I combined that wood with rich royal blue resin, then turned and shaped the piece on my lathe in my workshop.
The natural wood and flowing resin come together in a way that makes this bowl unlike anything else I've made. The wood tells its own story, while the resin adds color, depth, and movement.
Each bowl is individually turned, shaped, sanded, and finished by me. I don't try to make every piece perfect—the natural character of the wood is part of what makes handmade art special.
Approximately 7½ inches wide × 3½ inches tall.
