“Sassafras Explosion” — Hand-Painted Wood Art Bowl
This one-of-a-kind bowl began as a beautiful piece of Sassafras wood and became something completely different through the creative process. After turning the bowl on the lathe, I hand-painted the interior with bold, colorful patterns that radiate across the natural wood.
The contrast between the warm character of Sassafras and the vibrant painted design gives this piece its own personality. It is both a functional bowl and an original work of handcrafted art.
Every piece I make is individually turned, shaped, finished, and, when called for, painted by hand. No two are exactly alike.
